Lisa and Anooj have been ordained ministers since 2006, and believe that love is what life is all about! The chance meeting of two people, who find love, and desire to spend the rest of their lives together, is an incredible story. The backgrounds of each individual, their particular upbringing, ethnic and religious traditions all play a role in the joining of these two individuals - the path of these separate people, now joined, will be forever changed. Anooj and Lisa strive to help you discover that joined path together, through your wedding ceremony - whether religious, non-religious, or interfaith.

Lisa
My husband and I like to think we specialize in interfaith marriages (since we are interfaith), but our latest ceremonies have been fairly traditional Western/Christian, and completely non-religious. Since I come from the traditional Western/Christian side, and my husband has experienced the Eastern/Asian/Indian side, we create a pretty amazing mix when called on to do so.
I think the great thing about my husband is his presence behind the couple getting married. His voice is booming, but calming, and his stature is stately. We work really well together, too, and handle separate tasks in the ceremony with seamlessness.”

“Once Lisa and I started planning our wedding, we realized that so much was at stake for our parents, our backgrounds, and our faiths. We wanted our families to be happy with how the ceremony turned out – not giving too much play to one religion or tradition than the other.
It was hard. We finally realized we needed to hire a professional to help us put together a non-denominational wedding that didn't step on anyone's toes! I think that's why we both feel like we understand the plight of the interfaith wedding ceremony... we've been there!
Now we know that you shouldn't leave out anything, that the elements of each faith are important to making the ceremony a success – for you and your families.
It's funny, actually, because you'd think I would be the one performing most of the interfaith ceremonies, or the ceremonies from any other culture or faith than Western/Christian, but I've actually officiated more of the Western/Christian ceremonies than Lisa.
I think Lisa's ability to put everyone at ease is her best asset when she's performing a ceremony. She also speaks well in front of an audience and really lights up a room with love – who knew that such a big presence came in such a small package?”
