I know a lot of you are planning the music you want at your ceremonies, or at your reception – and it’s hard, isn’t it?? I mean, you want something powerful, but then you want songs that people will get up and dance to (well, at the reception, anyway!).

I’d like to start posting songs that I’ve heard that just make beautiful wedding/reception songs. I’ll categorize them, especially for easy finding, as I know I’ll be posting like this – randomly, possibly only one at a time! If you have a favorite – feel free to post in the comments section, and we’ll keep this list going!

Today, I heard this song, and teared up – what a great first-dance song for the bride and groom, OR a fabulous candle-lighting/unity ceremony song!

Anooj and I had the absolute pleasure of officiating at the wedding of Pia and Kent, and loved their music and choreography for their “wedding march”… I hope they get back to me about the music titles. It was just so much fun!

I know that’s only two songs, but it’s a start – I’ll keep posting as music hits me.

It’s the Spring Solstice today – which means that tomorrow is officially the first day of Spring!

But you’d never know it, here in Texas – it’s currently 32°F, blustery, and, you guessed it, SNOWING! What a surprise for the brides this weekend, hmm? I’m sure it was hard to imagine that they’d need wool coats over their spaghetti straps… yeesh. Who knew??

And what a wedding-filled weekend this has been! It’s been a joy for us to participate in so many weddings, including Linda and Chuck, Karen and Justin, Daniel and Sarah, and Jessica and Steve! WOW! Happy Spring! Congratulations and best wishes to you all!

(And I’m SO proud of how the brides have handled the weather, by the way – way to go ladies!!)
